MC Mary Kom, Olympic bronze medallist has decided to skip the important sports events, World Championships, and the Asian Games. It will be a great moment for the youngsters to showcase their talent.
After skipping the two biggest sports moments, the six-time world champion is now focusing on the preparations for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. The 2022 Commonwealth Games and 2022 Asian Games are scheduled to begin from July 28 and September 10th while the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships are expected to be organized from 6th May and will conclude on 21st May in Istanbul.
The 51 kg and 69 Kg Asian Games Weight categories will be conducted from March 11 to 14. These events are scheduled after a long time, thereby giving ample time to the boxers to execute their talent at the trials for the Asian Games. The selection procedure for the upcoming 12 boxing categories of the world championship will kick start from Monday with its final match on Wednesday. Along with these trials events, it will also include Asian Games weights divisions as that of IBA.
All athletes eligible for the selection trials are those who didn’t compete in the National championships including the participants from the Tokyo Olympics of National campers. The trials for the Commonwealth Games both for men and women will be held in June, while the trials for men at the Asian Games will be conducted in May.
