After several unsuccessful attempts at the previous CWG event, the Men’s Hockey team made a strong comeback clinching their first silver medal.

Melbourne Games (2006)
Once again women’s team continued their winning notch by finishing second place bagging the silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Manchester Games (2002)
It was at the 2002 Manchester Games, Women’s Indian hockey team showcased outstanding performance under the leadership of captain Suraj Lata Devi clinching the first gold medal for India at CWG.
